PDU Options Screen
generate nondelivery reports for messages and probes represented by PDUs you have
selected for removal from the queue.
From the gateway queue list, you can select an individual PDU by clicking on the PDU
ID shown on the screen. The PDU options screen for the selected PDU appears. See
PDU Options Screen
below for details about the PDU options screen.
PDU Options Screen
The PDU options screen appears whenever you type in a PDU ID from the subsystem
filter screen or click on a linked PDU ID on the subsystem list, route retry, link retry, or
deferred queue list screens. This screen allows you to select options for displaying the
PDU. The top section of the screen allows you to select one of the following display
types:
Decoded Message The PDU appears in decoded format. Data that cannot be
decoded, such as unsupported extensions and ASN.1 type
“ANY” fields, appear in encoded format. If the PDU has a
decoding error, the display stops showing data, but continues to
display the ASN.1 template. If you select the decoded message
option, also select the appropriate options in the “Protocol
Options” section of the screen; you may specify appropriate field
limits.
Decode Trace The PDU appears with detailed trace information from the
ASN.1 decoder. Each offset includes a link, which, when
selected, displays the corresponding location in an
encoded-message display. If you select the decode trace option,
also select the appropriate options in the “Protocol Options”
section of the screen. Note that the display of the attribute value
in decode traces is limited automatically to 10 bytes in hex
format.
Encoded Message The PDU appears in encoded (hexadecimal) format.
Logs The log records of the PDU appear.
