Subsystem Statistics Screen
Depending on the state of the PDU, the following buttons appear in the bottom section
of the PDU options screen:
Subsystem Statistics Screen
The subsystem statistics screen appears when you click on the “View Subsystem
Statistics” button on the control screen. This screen provides statistics information on all
configured groups in the OSI/MHS subsystem.
Additional Information About the AU
For more information about how to use the individual AU screens, how to find the data
in the PDUs that you need, and what the AU allows you to do with PDUs that exist in
your OSI/MHS subsystem, see the AU’s online help, which can be displayed by clicking
on the question mark icon located on most AU screens.
Display PDU Appears for any PDU and causes the PDU data screen to appear for
the specified display type.
Activate PDU Only appears for a PDU if the PDU is on the link retry or route retry
queue. Only PDUs that have been suspended can be activated.
Activating a PDU causes the PDU to go through the OSI/MHS retry
mechanism when the timeout next expires.
Suspend PDU Only appears for a PDU on the link retry or route retry queue.
Suspending a PDU prevents any action being taken on the PDU until
the PDU is activated.
Remove PDU Only appears for a PDU on the link retry, route retry, or gateway
queue.
For PDUs on the link retry or route retry queue, removing a PDU
causes OSI/MHS to delete the PDU from the PDU store when the
timeout next expires.
For PDUs on the gateway queue, removing a PDU causes OSI/MHS
to delete the PDU from the PDU store and gateway queue.
OSI/MHS generates nondelivery reports for messages and probes
removed from a queue before deleting the PDU from the PDU store
(if required according to the X.411 protocol). OSI/MHS does not
generate non-delivery reports for incoming reports, but, in the case of
link retry and route retry queue PDUs, the PDU remains in the
subsystem in the state UNROUTEABLE.
Delete PDU Appears at the bottom of the PDU options screen if the selected PDU
is in one of the bad states. The deletion of a PDU causes the PDU to
be deleted from the OSI/MHS PDU store, and no further processing
is performed on the PDU.
Reset form Appears for any PDU and resets the PDU options screen to its default
values.
