Installation and Profile Files
RUN SQLCI
CREATE SYSTEM CATALOG [$diskSQL];
INITIALIZE SQL;
EXIT
$disk specifies the disk where the SQL catalog will reside. That disk must be TMF
audited.
Installation and Profile Files
To install an OSI/MHS subsystem, you supply values in an installation file (a profile file
on S-series systems) and then follow the installation procedure.
•
The installation file (or profile file) is an edit file that contains a set of keywords
and their associated values. When you start installation, the system creates an
installation file if one does not already exist.
•
The installation procedure provides a menu of options. It leads you through the
installation steps by asking questions and displaying prompts. The installation
menu lets you override the settings in the installation file for an individual
installation session.
Installation File Keywords.
The keywords in the first part of the table let you supply file names or file security
designations for the various parts of the OSI/MHS subsystem. The value n in log file
names, data file names, and SQL database names is an integer in the range 1 through
999. Note that the GI_ keywords and the LO_ keywords are optional; if you want GI
and LO groups, you must explicitly add these keywords.
The keywords in the second part of the table are the installation steps. Here you
specify yes or no to indicate which steps you want the installation procedure to
perform.
