Overview of Corporate User
This network has the following features (the MTA numbers are arbitrary):
•
MTA1 and MTA3 each have users connected to message stores.
•
MTA1 and MTA3 each have a Transfer X400 gateway.
•
MTA1 has a GPI gateway.
•
MTA2 operates as a relay between MTA1 and MTA3.
•
Backup routes are defined between MTA1 and MTA2 and between MTA3 and
MTA2.
•
MTA1 is the Sales Department, MTA2 is the Shipping Department, and MTA3 is the
Manufacturing Department.
•
The O/R names used are mnemonic. MTA2 has one organization name. MTA1
and MTA3 have two organization names each. The names NEWYORK and
BOSTON identify the system on which the Transfer X400 gateway is located. The
