GATEWAY Object
ORG-UNIT-1—specifies the organizational unit name for this distribution list
member.
SUR-NAME—specifies the surname part of the personal name for this distribution
list member.
GIVEN-NAME—specifies the given-name part of the personal name set for this
distribution list member.
GATEWAY Object
The GATEWAY object attributes used in these examples are:
VINTAGE—specifies gateway implementation, which is 84 for the Transfer X400
gateway.
VALIDATION—specifies that OSI/MHS checks the messages before delivering
them to the gateway. OSI/MHS checks the messages for encoded information
types, content types, and size.
GW-PNAME—specifies the name of the entry manager process for the gateway.
GW-AUX-PNAME—specifies the process name of the auxiliary or wait manager
process for the GPI gateway.
PASSWORD—specifies the password for this gateway object.
GROUP Object (All Classes)
The configuration examples in this manual use the following GROUP object attributes
that apply to all classes:
CPU—specifies the primary CPU that runs the group process(es).
BACKUP (CPU)—specifies the backup CPU that runs the group process(es).
PRI—sets the default priority at which the group process(es) are to run.
PDU-STORE—specifies the name of a file that serves as the PDU store for the
group process(es).
PDU-LOG-FILE—specifies the name of a file that serves as the PDU log for the
group process(es).
WORK-SV—specifies the volume and subvolume that hold the group work files.

The GI GROUP object attribute used in these examples is:
Note. The general GROUP attributes listed above, except for CPU and BACKUP, do not
appear in the MTA configuration diagrams that follow, but all are included in the MTA
configuration files.
