Installation and Configuration Files for MTA3
MTA3 requires the following files for installation and configuration:
•
An installation file. The installation file contains the keywords and keyword values
needed to install and name the databases and other files for MTA3. After creating
this file online, you execute it as explained in Section 4, Installing Your OSI/MHS
Subsystem.

An OSI/MHS configuration file. The OSI/MHS configuration file contains all of the
SCF commands needed to configure the objects for MTA3.
•
OSI/AS and OSI/TS configuration file.This file contains the OSI addresses for
MTA3. It also defines the connections to network services, such as X.25.
Appendix A, Examples of Configuration Files, contains the SCF command file
needed to configure OSI/AS and OSI/TS for MTA3. It also includes an overview of
the OSI addresses for MTA3.
Configuring MTA1
MTA1 has four MR groups connected to OSI/AS by three OSI addresses. It has two GI
groups, two LO groups, four MS groups, and four RS groups. The four RS groups are
connected to OSI/AS over two addresses. MTA1 has a Transfer X400 gateway and a
general user gateway. Figure 5-7 shows the topology and major components of the
MTA1 configuration.
