Planning Routing Criteria for Adjacent and
Nonadjacent MTAs
Planning Routing Criteria for Adjacent and
Nonadjacent MTAs
You need to determine the routes for users or sets of users on different systems. To do
this, you plan routing criteria for adjacent and nonadjacent MTAs for these users
through the ROUTE object. The following questions describe ROUTE object
attributes, specifically the O/R name:
What is the country name? ___________________________________________
What is the ADMD name? ___________________________________________
Is this MTA in the same ADMD as your subsystem? ________________________
If so, what is the PRMD name? _____________________________________
Is this MTA in the same PRMD as your subsystem? ________________________
If so, what is the organization name? ________________________________
If this MTA is in the same organization as your subsystem, what is:
Organization unit 1 name?_________________________________________
Organization unit 2 name?_________________________________________
Organization unit 3 name?_________________________________________
Organization unit 4 name?_________________________________________
For each set of users, you define an adjacent MTA and set the priority for sending the
message destined for those users in that MTA.Use the following table to define the
adjacent MTAs and to determine the priority for each route.
