Configuring a Transfer Gateway

You configure a Transfer gateway through the GATEWAY object. The following

questions describe GATEWAY object attributes:

Is this gateway an 84 or 88 implementation?____________84 (required) _______

Do you want the OSI/MHS subsystem to check validation information before

transferring the message to the gateway?______________ON (required)_______

What are the entry manager process names? (You can have from 1 to 5 process

names.)

It is recommended that you do not specify a password for the Transfer X400 gateway.

The Transfer subsystem determines many of the attributes you set, such as VINTAGE

and VALIDATION. See the Transfer Installation and Management Guide for specific

information on the Transfer X400 gateway.
