Regardless of the method you use, management commands go through the MHS
manager process, which constructs a configuration database, controls the various
groups, and returns status and configuration information. Figure 1-7 shows the
configuration and control components.
The MHS manager process, called MHSMGR, is the focal point for configuration and
control. MHSMGR runs as a NonStop process pair and performs the following
functions:
•
Starts and stops GI, LO, MR, MS, and RS groups
•
Monitors and restarts subsystem processes
•
Initiates and coordinates the recovery of subsystem groups
