Remote Operations Service (RS) Group
MS PDU Store
Each MS group has one PDU store. The PDU store consists of a data file and a log
file. The data file is for storage of protocol data units (PDUs). The log file contains
records that indicate the processing steps taken on specific PDUs. These files are
defined for each MS group.
Remote Operations Service (RS) Group
The remote operations service (RS) group provides an interface from an RUA to a user
mailbox in a message store. The RS group implements the Remote Operations
Service Element (ROSE) protocol. The RS processes use the underlying OSI services
as specified by the 1988 X.400 recommendations: that is, they use the ACSE and
