Registration Association database Records of MTA objects (representing adjacent
MTAs).
User database Records of APPL objects (each representing a
UA).
Routing database Records of ROUTE objects and APPL objects.
Configuration Subsystem database A record of the SUBSYS object.
Class database A record for each CLASS object.
Group database A record for each GROUP object.
Process database A record for each PROCESS object.
Local MTA and MTA
identity databases
Each contains a record of information about this
OSI/MHS subsystem.
Storage time is brief for LO, MR, or RS groups. Storage time can be long for an MS group, because that is
where messages wait to be retrieved by users. Likewise, storage time can be long for a GI group, because it
waits for the GI application.
