APPL Objects
:
ABORT Forces the state of an OSI/MHS APPL object from STARTED or
SUSPENDED to STOPPED.
For message-store APPL objects:
If the UA for a user application is already associated with the
subsystem, the results of an ABORT command are that the
subsystem aborts the association, and the UA receives an error
message the next time it tries to access the message store. The
results are the same for a STOP command with the FORCED option.
ACTIVATE Changes the state of an OSI/MHS APPL object from SUSPENDED to
STARTED. (This command has no effect upon gateway APPL
objects.)
ADD Defines a user or set of users accessing the OSI/MHS subsystem.
For message-store APPL objects:
Adds the name and attributes to the MS user and routing databases.
You must add at least one MS group before you add any user
applications, because each APPL object must be defined and
attached to an MS group by means of the ACCESS-NAME attribute.
Note that the number of APPL objects attached to a message store
cannot exceed the number of mailboxes configured for it.
For gateway APPL objects:
You must add the GATEWAY object before you add any APPL objects
associated with the gateway.
You cannot add any APPL objects for a P1-EXIT type gateway.
The ADD APPL command defines a new local user name and
associated configuration information to the OSI/MHS subsystem.
ALTER Alters one or more attributes of an OSI/MHS APPL object. The
ACCESS-TYPE and ACCESS-NAME attributes cannot be altered.
You must stop the user application before you alter it, then restart it
afterward.
