Abstract
This guide describes the Compaq Open Systems Interconnection/Message Handling
System (OSI/MHS) Gateway Programmatic Interface (GPI), which is the Compaq
implementation of the X.400 Gateway Application Program Interface (X.400). The GPI
provides a programmatic interface to Compaq OSI/MHS at the message transfer agent
(MTA) boundary. This guide provides an overview of the GPI components and
operation. This guide also describes how to plan, write, and debug a program that uses
the GPI. This guide is intended for application programmers who are writing gateway
interface programs.
