Table 6-3. GPI Errors Assigned by GIP (page 1 of 3)
ZGPI-VAL- Value Meaning
BUFFER-INIT-ERROR 7100 The GIP cannot initialize its memory-buffer-
handling system. Two error subcodes are returned.
The GIP terminates abnormally.
MHSMGR-INIT-ERROR 7101 The GIP cannot initialize its interprocess
communication (IPC) interface with the MHS
manager. Four error subcodes are returned. The
GIP terminates abnormally.
HDR-CALC-ERROR 7102 The GIP cannot initialize the IPC interface between
the GPI and GIP. Four error subcodes are returned.
The GIP terminates abnormally.
IPC-INTERFACE-ERROR 7103 The IPC interface between the GPI and GIP is
unusable. Four error subcodes are returned. The
GIP closes the session and waits for another GPI
open.
MHSMGR-CMD-ERROR 7104 A fatal error has occurred in the IPC interface
between the MHS manager and GIP. Four error
subcodes are returned.
SIGNALTIMEOUT-ERROR 7105 A call to the SIGNALTIMEOUT procedure has
failed. No error subcodes are returned. The GIP
continues processing, but this failure prevents the
GIP from closing all groups periodically.
PREV-OT-RELEASED 7106 A previous start-transfer-in or transfer-out operation
did not complete, and the associated object tree has
been released. No error subcodes are returned. The
GIP continues processing.
GPI-PID-MISMATCH 7107 The PID of the process that opened the GIP does
not match the PID of the process that is in session
with the GIP currently. No error subcodes are
returned. (This situation should occur only if the
client process is a backup or primary process and
calls the CHECKSWITCH procedure.) The GIP
continues processing, but the current session is
closed.
GPI-CPU-FAILURE 7108 The GIP received a system message indicating the
CPU in which the client process is running has
failed. No error subcodes are returned. The GIP
continues processing, but the current session is
closed.
TRYING-NEW-PDU-STORE 7110 The GIP must switch to another PDU store because
the current one is too full to handle the
communication that is being transferred out. No
error subcodes are returned. The GIP continues
processing.
