MPS Error and Informational Messages
Effect. In general, this error reports an unrecoverable situation, and the MPS will
ABEND.
Recovery. Look up the error number in the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages
Manual. Correct the reported problem with the file, and restart the MPS.
Cause. This message reports an I/O problem with the configuration database. The I/O
function, the file name, and the file-system error number are reported in the message.
Effect. In general, this error reports an unrecoverable situation, and the MPS will
ABEND.
Recovery. Look up the error number in the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages
Manual. Correct the reported problem with the file, and restart the MPS.
Cause. This message is produced by an MPS in RECONFIGURE mode only. It reports
that it is changing a specific configuration parameter for all MPS processes that share
the same configuration database. The parameter name, old value, and new value are all
reported in the message.
Effect. All MPS processes that share the configuration database use the new parameter
value.
Recovery. No action is required, other than to verify that the configuration change is
expected and correct.
Cause. This message reports that an audit-trail file has been created by the MPS. The
message includes the file name of the new file.
Effect. MPS processes will begin to log to the new file.
Recovery. No action is required other than to verify that the new file names are correct.
Cause. This message reports that a configuration database been created by the MPS.
The message includes the file name of the new file.
Effect. The MPS process will write master user information and startup parameters to
the database.
Recovery. No action is required other than to verify that the new file names are correct.
