MPS Error and Informational Messages
Effect. The new MPS process uses the parameters already in the database and ignores
the new ones specified.
Recovery. No action is required. To avoid this warning in the future, reread the
description of the startup parameters in this manual and modify your TACL or
PATHCOM script.
Cause. This message reports a possible security threat against the OSI/MHS subsystem
served by the MPS. The problem could result from an error in the format of an SPI
request.
Effect. The MPS rejects the request and attempts to continue operation.
Recovery. Attempt to locate the source of the security threat and remove it. If
necessary, change the code of the MPS to report the process ID of the process that is the
source of the messages.
Cause. This message reports a problem with I/O to an authorization database. The
message includes the name of the I/O operation, the name of the authorization database,
and the file-system error number.
Effect. The MPS attempts to continue operation, unless this warning occurs in
connection with errors that cause it to ABEND.
Recovery. Examine the file system error number and attempt to resolve the problem.
Refer to the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for information about
file-system errors.
