MPS Error and Informational Messages
Recovery. Attempt to locate the source of the security threat and remove it. If
necessary, change the code of the MPS to report the process ID of the process that is the
source of the messages.
Cause. This message reports a possible security threat against the OSI/MHS subsystem
served by the MPS, specifically a message received from an unauthorized process.
Effect. The MPS continues to accept requests from its other openers.
Recovery. Attempt to locate the source of the security threat and remove it. If
necessary, change the code of the MPS to report the process ID of the process that is the
source of the messages.
Cause. This message reports a possible security threat against the OSI/MHS subsystem
served by the MPS, specifically a message that is neither a valid SPI message nor an
operating system message.
Effect. The MPS continues to accept other requests.
Recovery. Attempt to locate the source of the security threat and remove it. If
necessary, change the code of the MPS to report the process ID of the process that is the
source of the messages.
Cause. This message reports a problem with I/O to an authorization database. The
message includes the name of the I/O operation, the name of the authorization database,
and the file-system error number.
Effect. The MPS attempts to continue operation, unless this warning occurs in
connection with an error that causes it to ABEND.
Recovery. Examine the file system error code and attempt to resolve the problem.
Refer to the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for information about
file-system errors.
Cause. This message reports a problem with I/O to an authorization database. The
message includes the name of the I/O operation, the name of the authorization database,
and the file-system error number.
