Common Definitions
This section lists the common definitions for the OSI/MHS subsystem: those used in
several commands, responses, or event messages. Common definitions used by the
OSI/MHS subsystem fall into the following categories, based on their source:
•
SPI standard definitions (ZSPI)
•
SPI common extensions (ZCOM)
•
EMS definitions (ZEMS)
•
Operating system definitions (ZGRD)
•
File-system definitions (ZFIL)
•
Common SPI implementation definitions (ZCMK)
•
OSI definitions (ZOSI)
•
OSI/MHS definitions (ZMHS)
This section describe the common definitions as follows:
•
ZSPI-, ZCOM-, ZEMS-, ZGRD-, ZFIL-, and ZCMK- definitions: this section lists
the definitions used in the interface to OSI/MHS and provides considerations, if any,
specific to their use with OSI/MHS. For additional information on these definitions,
see the following sources:
•
SPI Programming Manual, for SPI definitions
•
SPI Common Extensions Manual, for SPI extensions definitions and common
SPI implementation definitions
•
EMS Manual, for EMS definitions
•
Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual, for operating system and
file-system definitions
•
ZOSI- and ZMHS- definitions: this section lists only items that are common to
several commands, responses, or event messages. For such definitions, this section
provides full descriptions. For additional information on ZOSI- and ZMHS-
definitions, see the following sources:
•
Section 5, Commands and Responses, or Section 6, Event Messages, in this
document for ZMHS- definitions used in only one or two commands, responses,
or event messages. Those sections also provide any additional considerations
for the common definitions as they apply to the particular command or event
message being described.
•
Section A, Errors and Error Lists, for OSI/MHS definitions that appear in error
lists (ZMHS-ERR- definitions).
•
OSI/AS Management Programming Manual, for OSI definitions.
