EMS Definitions
Summary States for SUBSYS Objects
The following states apply to the OSI/MHS subsystem process.
Summary States for Other Objects
The following objects have only one summary state defined associated with them:
The MHS ENTRY object is associated with the STARTED state.
EMS Definitions
This subsection describes, in general, the tokens that constitute OSI/MHS event
messages. Additional information specific to particular event messages is provided in
the individual event-message descriptions in Section 6, Event Messages
.
Standard EMS Tokens
Definitions whose names begin with ZEMS are EMS standard definitions. They are
provided in the ZSPIDEF.ZEMSDDL file and in the corresponding files for other
languages. Each standard EMS definition generated by the OSI/MHS subsystem is
described below.
ZEMS-TKN-CONSOLE-PRINT
has the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE if the message should be distributed by the primary
collector for compatibility with the old operator messages, and ZSPI-VAL-FALSE
otherwise.
ZEMS-TKN-CPU
indicates the CPU number in which the process generating the event is running.
ZCOM-VAL-SUMSTATE-STARTED The process is running and will accept new
requests for connections.
ZCOM-VAL-SUMSTATE-STOPPED The process exists in the subsystem
configuration but is not running.
ZCOM-VAL-SUMSTATE-STOPPING The process is in transition to the STOPPED
state because a STOP command was issued
for that process. The process is running but
will not accept new requests for connections.
