What You Need to Know
To set up a messaging network or hub, you must know how to perform the following
functions:
Plan a configuration that will meet the functional, throughput, performance, and
management requirements of your network, and comply with international
regulations and organizational policies. (Important considerations include the types
of external connections required; the X.400 and OSI addressing schemes that must
be used, or that must coexist; the types of messages to be exchanged, including
whether attachments must be supported; routing and alternative routing
requirements; availability of directory services; and quality of service requirements,
such as security.)
Install the NonStop systems and the operating system, database, communications,
and management software required for the network, including at least:
