The following subsections describe the MHS manager and the LO, MR, and MS groups.
“Submission Operations,” under Transferring data in Section 2 describes the path of P7
SUBMIT operations in more detail.
Local Operations (LO) Group
The local operations (LO) group provides the link from a client application and the
P7 API routines to a user mailbox in a message store. It is the responsibility of the local
client application to initiate an association with the message store and to issue the
appropriate P7 operation, such as a SUBMIT or FETCH request. The message store
cannot initiate an association with the local client application.
The LO group consists of an local operations (LO) process and an LO protocol data unit
(PDU) store. Figure 1-3 shows an LO group.
