ADD MTA Command
LOC-TSELECTOR-(1-7)
defines the T-selector part of this subsystem’s OSI address. This value identifies a
transport layer entity. It is a hexadecimal string with a maximum length of 40
characters, and the string must contain an even number of characters. If you do not
use this part of the address, it has a length of zero and the string portion is blank-
filled.
PASSW-SERVER
specifies whether a separate password server process is used to generate and validate
passwords for this adjacent MTA. If the value of this attribute is ON, OSI/MHS
uses the password server specified by the MTA-BIND-PW-SVR attribute of the
ADD SUBSYS command. See “Operational Notes” below for details.
REM-ABS-SYNTAX-ID
specifies the abstract syntax identifier to be used in the open request during
association establishment when the REM-APPLIC-CONTEXT is MTS-TRANSFER.
The valid values are ID-AS-MTA-RTSE and ID-AS-MTS-RTSE. The default is ID-
AS-MTA-RTSE.
REM-ADMD
specifies the administration domain name of the MTA. This value has a maximum
length of 16 characters.
REM-APPLIC-CONTEXT
specifies the MTS transfer protocol application context that the adjacent MTA
supports. MTS-TRANSFER-PROTOCOL-1984 means 1984 P1 is supported over a
1984 X.410. MTS-TRANSFER-PROTOCOL means 1988 P1 is supported over a
1984 X.410. MTS-TRANSFER means 1988 P1 is supported over a 1988 X.410.
REM-DIALOGUE-MODE
specifies the dialogue mode that the adjacent MTA supports. The default mode is
MONOLOGUE, which is the only mode supported.
REM-LOCAL-INIT
specifies whether or not the OSI/MHS subsystem can initiate an association to the
adjacent MTA. The default value is ON.
REM-LOGON-VALIDATION
specifies how passwords are validated during logon. If this attribute is ON,
passwords are validated against the values of the REM-OUR-PASSW, REM-
THEIR-PASSW-RSP, REM-THEIR-PASSW, and REM-OUR-PASSW-RSP
attributes; in this case, the PASSW-SERVER attribute must be OFF. The default
value for REM-LOGON-VALIDATION is OFF. See “Operational Notes” below
for more details.
