ALTER MON Command
ALTER MON Command
The ALTER MON command changes the attributes of the MON object. The MON
attributes can be altered when the MON object is in the STARTED state (unlike all other
objects, which must be in the STOPPED state to be altered). This is a sensitive
command.
OUT file-spec
directs any SCF output generated for this command to the specified file.
[\psystem.]$proc
is the name of the MON object to be altered.
attribute-spec
is a specification of an attribute and a value to be assigned to it.
The attribute-spec is a combination of the following attribute name and value
combinations:
BACKUP-CPU
specifies the CPU in which the backup manager process is to run. If the backup is
running in another CPU, it will be stopped and started in the other CPU. If you
specify -1, the backup process, if one exists, is stopped. This value is in the range -1
through 15.
BACKUP-DEBUG
specifies whether the backup manager process is started in DEBUG when it is next
initialized. This attribute should be used only by Compaq analysts in problem-
solving situations. The default is OFF.
COLLECTOR-1
specifies the alternate collector for accounting. This attribute can be altered only if
the SUBSYS object is in the STOPPED state.
