ADD APPL Command
The following message-retrieval attribute applies to the list-and-fetch-attribute defaults
maintained by the message store (MS).
SET-RTVL-DEFAULTS
specifies how the list-and-fetch attributes are set according to the message-retrieval
attributes configured for this APPL. If the value is OFF and an APPL is added, the
list-and-fetch attributes for the new or altered APPL are reset to the empty set. If the
value is ON and an APPL is added or altered, the list-and-fetch -attribute defaults
are recalculated according to the message-retrieval attributes configured for the
APPL. The default for this attribute is OFF.
The following message-retrieval attributes specify the validation applied to messages to
be retrieved by this APPL object. All these attributes are X.400 defined, and more
information may be obtained from the X.413 and X.420 standards.
When a message is stored in a mailbox, only those attributes currently specified as ON
are stored in the mailbox for that specific message. Thus, any retrieval operations for
the message are limited to the attributes configured as ON at the time the message was
stored in the mailbox.
