ADD GROUP Command
ADD GROUP Command
The ADD GROUP command defines a group of a given class to the OSI/MHS
subsystem. Several groups can be defined for each of the five classes—GI, LO, MR,
MS, and RS. These groups are referred to as the GI, LO, MR, MS, and RS groups. This
is a sensitive command.
OUT file-spec
directs any SCF output generated for this command to the specified file.
[\psystem.]$proc.#class.[\gsystem.]group
is the name of the GROUP object to be added.
attribute-spec
is a specification of an attribute and a value to be assigned to it. The attributes and
their values are listed below.
The attribute-spec for all classes of the ADD GROUP command is one of the
following attribute name and value combinations:
BACKUP
specifies the alternate CPU in which a process belonging to the group is to run, if the
primary CPU for the process is not available. No range checking is done; however,
the maximum value of cpu-number should not exceed the number of CPUs on
the target system minus one (for example, 0 to 7 on an eight-CPU system).

is done; however, the maximum value of cpu-number should not exceed the
