ADD GROUP Command
PDU-LOG-FILE
specifies the PDU log file the processes in the group are to access. The file must
exist. A PDU log file is unique to a group. If the same PDU log file is specified for
more than one group, an error occurs. The PDU log file must be on the same node
as the MHS manager.
PDU-STORE
specifies the PDU store the processes in the group are to access. The PDU file must
exist. A PDU store is unique to a group. If the same PDU store is specified for
more than one group, an error occurs. The PDU store file must be on the same node
as the MHS manager.
PRI
specifies the default priority at which the processes in the group are to run. The
priority must be less than the MHS manager priority.
WORK-SV
specifies the volume and subvolume for the group’s private working files. WORK-
SV can be specified in local or network form. This subvolume must be on the same
node as the MHS manager. You can use the same subvolume for more than one
group. A PDU control file is added for the group in the work-subvolume specified
with the exception of the GI group.
The additional attribute-spec for the ADD GROUP command when the class is
GI is one of the following attribute name and value combinations:
GI-BACKUP
specifies the backup CPU number in which the GI process runs. This attribute is
optional; if you omit it, the default backup CPU number for the group is assumed.
No range checking is done; however, the maximum value of cpu-number should
not exceed the number of CPUs on the target system minus one (for example, 0 to 7
on an eight-CPU system).
GI-CPU
specifies the CPU number in which the GI process runs. This attribute is optional; if
you omit it, the default CPU number for the group is assumed. No range checking is
done; however, the maximum value of cpu-number should not exceed the
number of CPUs on the target system minus one (for example, 0 to 7 on an eight-
CPU system).
