WRITE Procedure or WRITEREAD Procedure
Optional User Data
This is a variable-length field that contains optional user data that arrived in the
CR-PDU. Maximum length is 32 octets.
WRITE Procedure or WRITEREAD Procedure
After examining the CR-TPDU connection-request parameters, your application
must either accept the connection or initiate the connection-release procedure.
Connection release is explained later in this section.
To accept the connection request, your application issues either one of the
following calls with the syntax as shown:
The first two octets in the buffer are the 16-bit MCW. The MCW contains
information that causes OSI/TS to interpret your request as a T-CONNECT
response service primitive.
To accept the connection, set the MCW as follows:
Residual error rate,
Priority, Transit
delay, Throughput
Define, as a group, the quality of service to be
negotiated. OSI/TS does not interpret any of these
values, but passes them transparently to the application.
Calling TSEL Defines the remote TSEL that issued the connection
request. If this value is omitted, the transport connection
cannot share a subnetwork connection.
Called TSEL Defines the local TSEL for which the connection is
requested. This address should match the local TSEL
address, if any, assigned to this subdevice.
Security Specifies remote user's password. Your application checks
this value to control your system's security before
accepting an incoming call.
Additional options Specifies various services, in one octet, that can be
requested on a transport connection. OSI/TS supports
only expedited transport service. The additional options
bits have the meanings shown in Figure 7-4
