Definitions
Definitions whose names begin with ZEMS are EMS standard definitions. They are
provided in the ZSPIDEF.ZEMSDDL file and in the corresponding files for other
languages.
Tables 4-11 and 4-12 list EMS standard definitions used in event messages issued by
the OSI/TS subsystem. These definitions consist of simple tokens used in OSI/TS
event messages, header tokens available to all applications using EMS, and token
types used in other definitions.

Descriptions of the EMS standard definitions as they apply to all subsystems are given
in the Event Management Service (EMS) Manual. For some of the definitions listed in
Table 4-11, the information in that manual suffices to describe their use by OSI/TS; for
others, additional subsystem-specific considerations apply. OSI/TS subsystem-
specific considerations for EMS definitions are given in the following paragraphs.
ZEMS-TKN-CONSOLE-PRINT
indicates whether the EMS compatibility distributor will route the event message
to the designated operator console. Its possible values are:
ZSPI-VAL-TRUE The compatibility distributor will distribute the message.
ZSPI-VAL-FALSE The compatibility distributor will not distribute the message.
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS
has the value ZSPI-VAL-FALSE if the event is not critical or ZSPI-VAL-TRUE if it
is.
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER
has one of the values listed in Table 6-1 at the beginning of Section 6.
