OSI/TS Management Programming Manual

5 Commands and Responses
056786 Tandem Computers Incorporated 5–1
This section describes the syntax and semantics for all commands and responses in the
management programming interface to OSI/TS.
In this section, the names and structures of commands, object types, and all tokens and
their values are represented in DDL. For a quick explanation of DDL, refer to the
appendix “Overview of DDL for SPI” in the Distributed Systems Management (DSM)
Programming Manual.

Table 5-1 lists all of the OSI/TS programmatic commands. The first column of the
table indicates whether or not each command is a sensitive command—one that can
change the state or configuration of objects, start or stop tracing, or change the values
of statistics counters, and that can be issued only by a restricted set of users. The
remaining table columns indicate which commands accept which object types.
Table 5-2 lists the OSI/TS command object-type pairs and, for each pair, gives the
DDL forms of the corresponding names that must be used in programs.
