Considerations for the PRIMARY Command
The considerations contain information about command use that should be read before
studying the command syntax in too much detail.
PROCESS Object
The PRIMARY command should not be used if any transport connections are active
because this will result in the termination of all connections controlled by the old
primary process.
D-series only - The effect of the PRIMARY command for 6100 family controllers
differs, depending on the controller configuration: dual-port CIU, single-port CIU,
or single-board (6105, 3605, 6106, or 3606) controller. For details, see the
Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) Reference Manual.

objects. Successful completion of the START command leaves the object in the
