SUSPEND Command
Use the SUSPEND command to restrict the use of connections to and from the specified
process. All application requests, except closes, are rejected. An application cannot use
a suspended process. However, if an application is already using a process when the
SUSPEND command is issued to that process, the process is placed in the
SUSPENDING state. The SUSPEND command can only be used on a process that is in
the STARTED state. Upon successful completion of the SUSPEND command, the
object state is changed to SUSPENDED. To reverse the effects of the SUSPEND
command, use the ACTIVATE or START command.
This is a sensitive command.
