Examples of the SELECT Command
•
If no SELECT command is entered, the default is ALL.
•
If SELECT is specified with no mask or keywords, ALL is assumed.
•
The RESET and FROM commands reset the mask to ALL.
•
The "Ptrace Select key" in the ENV command display shows the selected
enumerated values from the SELECT command. If you specified the trace file
(through the FROM command) and the subsystem used to create the trace file uses
keywords, then the "Ptrace Select key" will show the keyword. If you did not
specify the trace file (through the FROM command), then the "Ptrace Select key"
shows the enumerated value.

The SELECT command accepts all valid keywords including those that translate
into bit masks; however, the confirmation text displays the 32-bit mask value only if
that value is non-zero.

The enumerated list of keywords (or the numeric values, if no trace file is currently
open) is always displayed.
Examples of the SELECT Command
The examples are designed to show you correct ways of specifying command syntax.
SELECT (L4, L3)
selects all Layer 3 and Layer 4 activities
SELECT (L4, MSG); FILTER L4SU #S1; FILTER MSGSU #S1; &
FILTER TPDU CR
all user file operations on the SU #S1 and the CR-TPDUs generated on its
behalf
SELECT L4; FILTER TPDU ER, RJ
selects any Error Report TPDUS (ER-TPDUs) or Reject TPDUs (RJ-TPDUs)
generated and/or received by the OSI/TS process
FILTER ALL
selects all trace information
FILTER RESET
sets the filters to the default settings.
STATETABLES Command
Use the STATETABLES command to display state-machine information in text form, as
opposed to numerical form. If you want the translation from numbers into words, you
