Object Types
Figure 1-1, OSI/TS Subsystem Object Hierarchy, on page 1-2 shows the OSI/TS object
types supported by SCF and their hierarchical order.
As shown, the PROCESS object is at the highest point of the hierarchy, with all other
objects subordinate to it. (The null object is not an actual object type but is used in
commands that do not require specification of an object type.) Immediately subordinate
to the PROCESS object are the SERVICE, SU, and ROUTE objects.
The LINE object is not supported by the OSI/TS subsystem. However, you can direct
commands to LINE objects in the X25AM and TLAM subsystems (for D-series, or
PAM subsystems for G06 and above releases) that are in use by the OSI/TS subsystem.
X25AM commands for LINE objects are described in the SCF Reference Manual for
X25AM. TLAM commands for LINE objects are described in the SCF Reference
Manual for Multilan/TLAM, and PAM commands for LINE objects are described in the
PAM Configuration and Management Manual.
G-Series Compatability
The Network Service Providers of OSI/TS are X25AM, TCPIP and TLAM (for D-
series, or PAM subsystems for G06 and above releases). An application running over
OSI/TS can use any of these Network Service Providers.
Some Expand networks may have D-Series systems and some G-series systems. The
application, OSI/AS, OSI/TS and either X25AM, TCP/IP or TLAM (for D-series, or
PAM subsystems for G06 and above releases) could be running on different nodes.

shows an OSI/AS running on a D-series system communicating with a
