Server Software Requirements
OSM requires the G06.08 RVU or later. All supported RVUs prior to G06.21 require
one or more Prerequisite SPRs for OSM. For G06.21, there are no prerequisites, but
you need the OSM Server SPR. Starting with G06.22, no additional SPRs are required
(unless you want new functionality released in a later RVU). However, there is one
Recommended SPR for Improved OSM Performance, available at G06.15 and later.
Prerequisite SPRs for OSM
This table lists the prerequisite SPRs – those needed in addition to the actual OSM
Server SPR) – for each RVU on which OSM is supported.
OSM Server SPR
For G06.22 and later, OSM server-based SPR(s) are available on the SUT. To install
OSM on earlier RVUs, or to get the latest OSM SPR without migrating to a new RVU,
OSM is also available from NonStop Scout.
Starting with G06.25, the OSM server-based components are combined into a single
SPR, T0682AAA. See OSM SPRs Obsoleted by T0682 on page 3-1 for a list of the
SPRs replaced by T0682.
The following sections describe special considerations for upgrading your current OSM
server SPRs to T0682AAA, depending on whether you are:

Migrating to the G06.25 RVU (or later), or
•
Installing T0682 on an Earlier RVU
For more information on migrating to the G06.25 RVU, or installing SPRs on an
existing RVU, see the G06.25 Software Installation and Upgrade Guide and the
DSM/SCM User’s Guide.
Section 3, OSM Server-Based Components, describes how to configure and start OSM
server processes.
