OSM Client-Based Components
Starting with G06.22, OSM client-based components are installed on new system
console shipments and also delivered by an OSM installer on the HP NonStop System
Console (NSC) Installer CD. The NSC CD also delivers all other client software
required for managing and servicing NonStop S-series servers. Installation instructions
are included in the NonStop System Console Installer Guide.
Starting with G06.24, the OSM installer installs the following components (formerly part
of T2752) onto your qualified* system console:
OSM Low-Level Link (T0633)
OSM Notification Director (T0632)
OSM Console Tools (T0634), which installs Start menu shortcuts and default home
pages for the OSM Service Connection and OSM Event Viewer (the two browser-
based OSM applications that are not installed on the system console). While not
necessary for accessing these applications, these home pages display bookmarks
for easy access to your systems and automatically create bookmarks from your
existing TSM system list.
* See System Console Requirements on page 2-1.
Tools Formerly Bundled With TSM
WAN Wizard Pro – Packaged separately and installed from the NonStop System
Console Installer CD. For installation instructions, see the NonStop System
Console Installer Guide.
SP Tool – Starting with G06.24, the SP Tool is also installed as part of the OSM
Low-Level Link (and can be launched from the OSM Low-Level Link Tools menu).
It can also be installed separately, from its own installer or the Master installer, for
TSM or other users who want to access the SP Tool without logging on to the OSM
Low-Level Link. For installation instructions, see the NonStop System Console
Installer Guide.
CSSI – the Extranet site is: http://h71033.www7.hp.com/ (Technical Documentation
> CSSI Web).
Note. The OSM Service Connection and OSM Event Viewer are browser-based applications
that reside on the server and are accessed through an Internet Explorer browser session on
your system console or any PC that meets OSM hardware and software requirements. The
OSM client installer provides Start menu shortcuts to provide a convenient method of
accessing your systems, but no client installation is required to use the OSM Service
Connection or the OSM Event Viewer.
