Configure OSM Notification Director (ND) for Dial-In
and Dial-Out
At the GCSC, the successful Registration Dial-out can be viewed by the GCSC analyst
on the Compaq Remote Gateway (CRG) at:
AMER/EMEA: http://txncrg01.txn.cpqcorp.net:8943/gateway/main.asp or
http://16.74.7.105:8943/gateway/main.asp.
AP: http://gcscrgap1.aum.cpqcorp.net:8943/gateway/main.asp or
http://16.176.196.24:8943/gateway/main.asp.
The term QSAP (Qualified Compaq Service Access Point) refers to the system console
as a Dial-out/In point.
The term SAN (Service Access Name) is a unique name assigned in the NT Registry
of the system console by TSM ND or OSM ND during the Dial-out/In Registration. This
name stays with the PC for its life or until the software on the PC has to be reinstalled.
1. Go to the CRG Summary screen at URL:
AMER/EMEA: http://txncrg01.txn.cpqcorp.net:8943/gateway/main.asp or
http://16.74.7.105:8943/gateway/main.asp
AP: http://gcscrgap1.aum.cpqcorp.net:8943/gateway/main.asp or
http://16.176.196.24:8943/gateway/main.asp.
2. Click the ā€œIncomplete Registrationsā€ link.
3. Click the entry for the SAN Registration that was just sent that requires data entry.
4. Enter a Customer Name. Choose something that is meaningful. Use the customer
name and a numeric designation. Look at other Customer Name entries already in
the database as a guideline.
5. Enter the Login Password. This is the Dial-out Password that the customer entered
in the OSM Notification Director Dial-out/In screen earlier.
6. Enter the QSAP Password. This is the NT User Password created by the customer
in the NT User Manager earlier.
7. Enter the Remote Control Password.
If the system console is configured to use Carbon Copy, this is the Carbon Copy
User Password created by the customer in Carbon Copy.
If the system console is configured to use Microsoft NetMeeting, this is the NT
User Password created by the customer in the NT User Manager.
8. Click Submit.
9. To view the SAN (system consoles) that are registered for a certain system
number, click the Systems link in the CRG, find the system number you are looking
for. You will see one system number entry for every SAN that has dialed out for
that system number. There could be one or more. Click the system number link for
system related details (details currently not used). You can sort the display by
clicking the column titles.
