E Uninstalling TSM
This section contains optional instructions for removing TSM software from your
system console. You need not remove TSM software to install and use OSM. (See
Section 6, TSM Coexistence and Fallback.) In fact, during the migration from TSM to
OSM, you can save time by leveraging your existing TSM system list. (Launching and
Logging On on page 5-18 describes how OSM automatically creates OSM bookmarks
from your TSM system list.) After you have logged on to OSM applications, OSM
registry settings are updated to include systems that were in your TSM system list. At
that time, OSM settings are no longer dependent on TSM settings.
Remove TSM Client From a Workstation
To remove all files associated with TSM
1. Quit all TSM applications, including the Notification Director. If running, you must
end the tsmnd32 process in the Task Manager.
2. Delete the entire directory at C:/TSM. You can also delete all but the OSM directory
from within C:/ZSUPPORT.
To remove all TSM-related Windows Start menu shortcuts
Delete the entire directory at: C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Start
Menu/Programs/Compaq TSM.
To delete all TSM-related registry settings
1. Select Start>Run>regedt32 and click OK.
2. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Tandem>TSM.
3. From the Edit menu, select Delete and close the Registry Editor window.
