Configure OSM Notification Director (ND) for Dial-In
and Dial-Out
Enter the current date and time. If you have two or more system consoles, the
Service Access Name must be unique. To make them unique ensure the 2 digit
minute value is different between the system consoles.
4. Click OK. Exit the Registry Editor.
5. In the OSM Notification Director, click the File menu and select Dial-in/Dial-out
Configuration.
6. In the Workstation Modem Information section, ensure that the Microcom
Deskporte 28.8P Plug & Play or MultiTech MT2834BA (or MT2834BL) or MultiTech
MT5634ZBA or MultiTech ZBA-USB-V90 modem is selected. This should match
the modem attached to the system console and the modem configured earlier.
7. In the Dial-Out Information section, enter:
Phone Number = 1-800-571-8672 (US/Canada phone number, in this format; enter
"9-" in front, if required)
= 000-814-550-3883 (Brazil)
= 001-800-759-1146 (Mexico)
Document with all GEOs Dial-out Phone Numbers
Password and Confirm password = "austin"
IP address = "192.168.171.11" (for dial-outs to the AMER/EMEA Callcatcher)
orIP address = "192.168.192.20" (for dial-outs to the AP Callcatcher)
8. Select Configure Dial-in.
9. In the Dial-In Information section, enter:
Phone Number = "1-nnn-nnn-nnnn" (in this format, must enter the "1-" in front of
the number)
Windows user name = "GCSC" (Windows 2000/XP User name from Chapter II
above)
Remote control user name = "GCSC"(If using Carbon Copy, Carbon Copy User
name from Chapter III above; if using Microsoft NetMeeting, Windows 2000/XP
User name from Chapter II above)
10. Click OK, then click OK to msg box to send it to the GCSC. (If the Registration
Dial-out fails retype the letter "C" in one of the GCSC user names, click OK, then
click OK to re-send). Since passwords are not sent in the Registration Dial-out,
they must be given to the GCSC.
Caution. The GCSC must be contacted at this point before continuing with the rest of these
instructions, or dial-out of periodic, problem, or test incident reports will fail.
