* This section does not cover configuring the OSM Notification Director to use ISEE
for dial-out. This process requires internet connectivity, as well as GCSC support. For
more information, please contact your local Global Customer Support Center (GCSC)
or see For Customers using a Modem or ISEE ONLY on the GCSC Americas
Hardware Home Page at http://int-gcsc.txn.cpqcorp.net/ref/amer/hardware/.
Configure Modem for Dial-In and Dial-Out
For information on connecting a modem to your NonStop system console, see the
NonStop S-Series Hardware Installation and FastPath Guide. To configure the modem:
1. Power off the system console.
2. For the MultiTech MT2834BA or BL modems check that the switches are as
follows:
Beware of a label on the modem itself as it shows information for switch 3 twice on
some of the modems. If you have changed any switches, power cycle the modem.
Note. There is a step at which you are required to contact the GCSC in order for incident
reports to successfully dial-out.
