Configure OSM Notification Director (ND) for Dial-In
and Dial-Out
16. Perform steps 1-15 for each “Configure \systemname” under the Systems menu.
For step 9, not all of the systems have to use this system console as the primary
Dial-out point if you have other system consoles.
Configure OSM Notification Director (ND) for
Dial-In and Dial-Out
If you are configuring the OSM ND for Dial-in/dial-out and this system console was
already set up for using the TSM ND, skip steps 1-10 and proceed to step 11.
If you are manually configuring the Service Access Name, ensure that the TSM and
OSM Registry ServiceAccessName entries are IDENTICAL, otherwise you would need
2 CRG entries for each system console if both the TSM and OSM NDs are configured
for Dial-out.
1. From the primary system console, start the OSM Notification Director.
2. Click the File menu, select Dial-in/Dial-out Configuration.
3. If this screen looks like it is Preconfigured and the Dial-In Phone Number field is
blank, then perform the following.
a. Click Cancel.
b. Delete the ”C:\OSM\DIALOUT.TXT” file using a DOS/Command Prompt
window or Windows Explorer.
c. Click Start>Run and enter REGEDT32.
1. Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE window.
2. Double-click Software, Hewlett Packard, OSM, Configuration, then select
TNSC.
3. In the right-hand pane, double-click ServiceAccessName. It will either
contain the value TSM1234569908161522, contain a value that begins
with TSM999999, or it will be blank. If it contains TSM1234569908161522
or begins with TSM999999, click the Delete key to clear the field and
continue with the next action. If it is blank, leave it blank. Click Cancel and
exit the Registry Editor, skipping the following substep.
4. Enter the new ServiceAccessName in the following format:
TSM0xxxxxyymmddhhmm
where:
TSM is upper case (followed by a zero)
xxxxx = 5 digit system number
yy = 2 digit year
mm = 2 digit month
dd = 2 digit day
hh = 2 digit hour
mm = 2 digit minute
