What's New in This Guide
The OSM Service Connection has been updated for G06.27 to add support for:
Fibre channel Disk Drive Enclosures, which are connected to NonStop systems through
Fibre Channel ServerNet adapters (FCSAs), located in IOAM enclosures.
HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM). SIM now supports NonStop servers through a
Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) interface provided by OSM. SIM is
capable of discovering NonStop systems, displaying and forwarding alarms generated by
OSM, and collecting NonStop system and device data. For SIM to manage NonStop
systems, the new SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) feature must be enabled in OSM.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). OSM utilizes SSL to support a secure connection between
the OSM server and OSM Service Connection or Notification Director. Disabled by
default, SSL must be enabled through an OSMCONF file setting (UseSSL = On). For
information on creating and using an OSMCONF file, see the OSM Migration Guide.
