HP Operations provides a complete management view of your enterprise, which includes:
• Enterprise Applications: Like ZLE business applications.
• Infrastructure Applications: Like Web servers, Transaction servers and Database servers.
• System Infrastructure: Like Resources, Hardware, Network and Security.
With OVNM, the central HP Operations console also offers a consolidated view of the NonStop environment that
enables you to act proactively on critical events and messages. This consolidated view is both intuitive and cost-
effective as the central end-user interface provides the basis for a true service level based management.

OVNM discovers and monitors the status and health of HP NonStop hardware & software peripherals and
standard applications. Collection sources span system messages, application messages, and log files. OVNM
event message filters extract critical system information and propagate to the HP Operations Message Browser
and NNM Alarm Browser consoles, thereby making the information data stream more efficient.
