To use the policy in the current/active window as the default template, click on the Use
current button.
Misc
The Misc area can be used to configure the following options:
List maximum number of events in memory to
Use this field to specify the maximum number of events in the memory. The default value is
10000. You can specify a value in the range of 1 – 999999.
List maximum number of acknowledged events to
Use this field to specify the maximum number of acknowledged events in the memory. The
default value is 1000. You can specify a value in the range of 1 – 999999.
List number of combo box history strings saved to
Use this field to specify the number of combo box history strings to be saved. You can specify
a value in the range of 0 – 200. The default value is 30.
Timeout for Action Alert message boxes
Use this field to specify the duration of timeout for action alert message boxes. The default
value is 0 seconds.
Display the reason dialog when acknowledging events
Use this field to specify the whether the Acknowledge event(s) dialog box is to be displayed
while acknowledging events. Checking the box will display the dialog box every time you
acknowledge an event. You can enter the reason for acknowledging the event using the
Acknowledge event(s) dialog box.
Support for non english character sets
Checking this box will enable support for non-English character sets in Console. For example
if your system is configured to use Japanese character set then checking this option will
display Japanese characters in the Event View Pane.
Selecting this option will display the OVNM Console message box giving the information that
this feature will take effect only after the application is restarted.

Automatically start elink at start-up
Checking this box will automatically start Elink if it is not running at start-up.
NOTE: To enable support for non-English character set it is required to modify the parameter SNMP
EMSTEXTSPECIALCHARATER in the OVNM Configuration file OVNMCONF.
