2 OVNM Installation on Windows

2-1 Installing OVNM on Windows

This section covers the procedure to install OVNM on Windows. To help you with the installation process, it is

recommended that you fill out the Installation Information form.

Refer to Appendix A: Installation Information before installing OVNM.

NOTE:

The user installing OVNM must have Administrator rights/privileges on the HPOM workstation. Before

starting the installation, it is recommended that you exit from any other Windows programs that are running.

1. Insert the installation CD in the CD-ROM drive, and execute the OVNMInstallation.exe located in the

OVNM for Windows directory.

The Install Shield prepares the Setup program for use and the HP OVNM Welcome screen is displayed.

WARNING!

Please be sure you have totally unzipped the installation package into its own folder and you are

running the OVNMInstallation.exe from there

– NOT from inside the compressed file. Failure to do this will

cause problems when installing the backend

components.
