Installing OVNM on HP NonStop Server 28   
3.  In the Host tab page, specify the information as described in the following table.

Configuration Name 
The name of the new host configuration.  
•  The name must not duplicate any other 
configuration name. This field can be 
used to provide a descriptive name for 
this particular environment (e.g. DR, 
QA, or production). Spaces are not 
allowed, but hyphens and underscores 
are allowed. 
Product Key 
The product license key provided by 
HP. 
•  You must have a license key in order to 
install a new node. 
Node Name 
The HP NonStop Node name.  
•  The node name must be preceded by 
the \ sign.  
•  Example: \NODE1  
  Host Address  The HP NonStop Server IP address or 
DNS name. You cannot have duplicate 
environment definitions where the IP 
and Ports all match. In other words, you 
cannot use IP 1.1.1.1 and ports 
5020/5030 multiple times. 
• 
Example: 111.111.111.111  
•  Example: mytandem.chicago.com 
User Id 
The HP NonStop Server User ID. 
•  Example: ov.manager 
  Password  The password corresponding to the HP 
NonStop Server User ID specified. 
TCPIP Process 
The TCPIP process name. 
The TCPIP Process box displays the 
value DEFAULT. 
If the TCPIP Process box 
is left as is, OVNM tries to get the 
process name from the host response 
during the logon process. If OVNM is 
still not able to find the TCP/IP process 
name, it prompts the user to provide it 
manually.  
•  Default: DEFAULT 
  Process Prefix  A two character prefix that will be used 
as the first two characters for all the 
OVNM processes, making them unique.  
• 
The first character must be a letter 
•  Both characters must be alphanumeric. 
•  Example: OV 
Work Subvolume 
The subvolume where the OVNM 
installation files will be copied. It is 
recommended that you use a volume 
other than $SYSTEM, but it will work if 
you let it default to $SYSTEM. 
•  Default: $SYSTEM.ZOVNM 
  OVNMSubvolume  The subvolume where OVNM will be 
installed. It is recommended that you 
use a volume other than $SYSTEM, but 
it will work if you let it default to 
$SYSTEM.

Default: $SYSTEM.OVNM 
Home Terminal 
Select either a physical hometerm or a 
process that will be continuously 
available. 
•  Default: $VHS 
  Log To Collector  The collector where the application will 
log all events.
