4. Click the Communication tab to configure communication related OVNM parameters. The Communication
tab page is displayed.

Telnet and FTP

Specify the Telnet port to be used for the
Telnet session with the HP NonStop
Host. Use the corresponding Address
field to specify the IP address or the
DNS name for the Telnet session with
the HP NonStop Host.
There are 3 types of Telnet that are
supported - standard, SSH2, and SSL. If
your NonStop Host is configured to use
one of those options, pick the selection
that matches your host. The default
value for this application is 'standard'.
This is unsecured Telnet and user id's
and passwords will be passed in the
clear because that is the way that
protocol works.
SSH2 provides greater security when
communicating between your PC and
the NonStop. SSL is another secure
protocol. But, whatever option you
choose, it has to match the
configuration on your NonStop.
