11. Click the Mail tab to configure the E-mail facility on the HP NonStop Server. The Mail tab page is
displayed.

12. In the Mail tab page, specify the information as described in the following table.

Mail Allow Mail To enable the mail functionality.

The option is disabled by default.
• Selecting the check box enables other
fields on the tab page.
NonStop Email IP
To specify the IP address of the
NonStop Server that will have access to
the Email Server.
• In many cases, the NonStop Email IP
address is the same as the IP used for
the connection between the front-end
and the backend.
• If this IP address is blocked from
accessing the Email Server, specify a
different IP address to be used as the
NonStop Email IP.
Email Server IP To specify the IP address of the Email
Server that will receive the email for
delivery.
Email Port
The port number to be used by the
Email Server.
• Default: 25
Sender ID The sender e-mail ID.
•
Sender ID is the ID you want associated
as the sender of the emails generated
by OVNM. Sometimes, the Email server
requires that this ID exist in its address
book. In this case, you will have to use
an existing email ID or create a new
one specifically for OVNM.
Trace
To configure Tracing. Options available
are:
• Error: To log in case of e-mail
failure
• None: No logging
• Progress: For logging all the
messages
• The mail trace logfile is
<\NODENAME>.<$INSTALLVOL>.OVN
