Threshold Policies 106
2-14-4 OBJECT CLASS: TCP
Policy
Description
Operators Allowed
TCP IS NOT STARTED TCP IS NOT STARTED threshold will raise an alert if the TCP process
is not in the STARTED state.
No operator.
TCP IS PENDING
TCP IS PENDING allows the user to check if the TCP process has
received a STOP command, but has not stopped yet or it is
PENDING.
No operator.
TCP STARTED TCP STARTED allows the user to check if a PATHWAY TCP is
running.
No operator.
TCP STOPPED
TCP STOPPED allows the user to check if a PATHWAY TCP has
stopped.
No operator.
2-14-5 OBJECT CLASS: TERM
Policy
Description
Operators Allowed
TERM ABORTED
TERM ABORTED allows the user to check that term has aborted.
No operator.
TERM IS NOT STARTED TERM IS NOT STARTED allows the user to check whenever the
terminal is in a state other than started.
No operator.
TERM IS PENDING
TERM IS PENDING allows the user to check if the TERM has
received a STOP command and is pending.
No operator.
TERM STARTED
TERM STARTED allows the user to check if a PATHWAY terminal has
started.
No operator.
TERM STOPPED
TERM STOPPED allows the user to check if a PATHWAY terminal
has stopped.
No operator.
TERM SUSPENDED
TERM SUSPENDED allows the user to check that term is suspended.
No operator.
TERM WAIT BKPTHOLD
This threshold checks the status of the terminal. If the wait state is at
an Inspect breakpoint, then the terminal is in violation.
EQUAL TO
NOT EQUAL TO
TERM WAIT CHECKPOINT This threshold checks the status of the terminal. If the wait state is
waiting for completion of a checkpoint, then the terminal is in
violation.
EQUAL TO
NOT EQUAL TO
TERM WAIT ENDTRANS
This threshold checks the status of the terminal. If the wait state is
waiting for the TMF software to complete an END TRANSACTION
operation. If so, then the threshold is in violation.
EQUAL TO
NOT EQUAL TO
TERM WAIT FROZEN This threshold checks the status of terminal. If the wait state is
waiting because it is currently attempting to communicate with a
frozen server class, then the terminal is in violation.
EQUAL TO
NOT EQUAL TO
TERM WAIT READY
This threshold checks if the terminal wait state is “ready.”
EQUAL TO
NOT EQUAL TO
TERM WAIT SUSPABORT This terminal is in violation if it is suspended because of a fatal
error. In this case, the execution cannot be restarted until an ABORT
TERM command is issued.
EQUAL TO
NOT EQUAL TO
TERM WAIT SUSPRESTART
The terminal is in violation if it is suspended because of a nonfatal
error or because a SUSPEND command was issued to the TERM. In
this case, the execution can be restarted by issuing a RESUME
command.
EQUAL TO
NOT EQUAL TO
TERM WAIT TERMOPEN The terminal is busy doing an open operation to a device or a
terminal-solution process.
EQUAL TO
NOT EQUAL TO
TERM WAIT TIMEOUT
The terminal is waiting for a period of time to elapse. This could
happen during retry processing after an I/O error or periodically
during the execution of a program performing internal processing
when no I/O is occurring.
