2-24 TELCO
TELCO, a telecommunications protocol defined by, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as a way to
offload PSTN data traffic congestion onto a wireless or wireline digital broadband network. The standard defines
the procedures and protocol by which network elements in the public switched telephone network (PSTN)
exchange information over a digital signaling network to effect wireless (cellular) and wireline call setup, routing
and control.
NOTE:
The TELCO subsystem will only be available if you have installed the TELCO plug-in.
