OVNM 5.3 - Operations Agent for NonStop Object Reference Guide

Threshold Policies 16
2 Threshold Policies
Depending on the Object Class to be monitored, OCC allows performing checks for the following threshold
policies:
2-1 ATP6100
The ATP6100 subsystem consists of the ATP6100 line-handler process and a protocol module. The ATP6100 line-
handler process is a NonStop™ Himalaya process pair running in a NonStop™ Himalaya host. The process acts
as a file-system interface between an application and a protocol module that resides and runs in the
Communications Line Interface Process (CLIP) as a task. In the wide area network (WAN) subsystem that uses the
SWAN concentrator, the ATP6100 line-handler process thus allows communication over a variety of
asynchronous communications devices especially terminals and printers. Application data is passed to one of
several protocol modules by ATP6100. The protocol module gives the application extensive control over the line,
and each protocol module can control either a single line or multiple lines.

Description
Operators Allowed
DIAGNOSING
This threshold type allows the user to check line diagnosing. The line name
must be unique. The * can be used but partial wildcards are not allowed. The
object will be in violation if the line is in the following states:
SUSPENDED
STARTED
STOPPED
No operator.
NOT STARTED
This threshold type allows the user to check if the status of the line is NOT
STARTED. The line name must be unique. The * can be used but partial
wildcards are not allowed. The object will be in violation if the line is in the
following states:
SUSPENDED
STARTED
STOPPED
No operator.
NOT STOPPED
This threshold type allows the user to check if the status of the line is NOT
STOPPED. The line name must be unique. The * can be used but partial
wildcards are not allowed. The object will be in violation if the line is in the
following states:
SUSPENDED
STARTED
STOPPED
No operator.
STARTED
This threshold type allows the user to check if the status of the line is STARTED.
The line name must be unique. The * can be used but partial wildcards are not
allowed. The object will be in violation if the line is in the following states:
SUSPENDED
STARTED
STOPPED
No operator.
STOPPED
This threshold type allows the user to check if the status of the line is STOPPED.
The line name must be unique. The * can be used but partial wildcards are not
allowed. The object will be in violation if the line is in the following states:
SUSPENDED
STARTED
STOPPED
No operator.
SUSPENDED
This threshold type allows the user to check if the status of the line is
SUSPENDED. The line name must be unique. The * can be used but partial
wildcards are not allowed. The object will be in violation if the line is in the
following states:
SUSPENDED
STARTED
STOPPED
No operator.
